Claro Pond Coffee Table

Commissioned | 48" X 33", 18.5" high, 3" thick slab

Claro walnut's liquid-like grain pattern inspired the "pond" theme for this piece. The slab's open center is covered with a quarter-inch blue glass inlay, which creates a waterscape effect.

The base is made of claro as well, with powerful, hand-chiseled joinery. The trapezoidal stance takes up minimal space while maximizing structural support for the substantially thick walnut slab. Any corner can be sat on without tipping or leaning occurring.
